My Second Stop

Hallo from Brussels, Belgium! I have spent my time well here. It is a beautiful place! Belgium is South of Netherlands and North of France. It is 50 degrees North and 4.43274 degrees South. Brussels (the capital) is right in the middle of Belgium. There are two main regions in Belgium. The Northern region is called Flanders and the Southern region is called Wallonia. Wallonia makes up 55% of the land in the region ,but it only has one third of the population. Flanders consists of 45% of the land but, it has two thirds of the population. Belgium is different then other countries because it has the widest variety of chocolate in the world. Belgium exports chocolate, machinery and equipment, chemicals,
finished diamonds, metals, and metal products. Belgium's
imports are mainly fruit. The environment affects
people's lives in Belgium because it is cold and it has a
high elevation which means they have a tough time
growing fruit.

There are many interesting cultural traits and characteristics that I find appealing in Brussels, Belgium. Firstly, CHOCOLATE! They have the best, creamiest, rich, milk chocolate in the world. Some types of chocolate in the Belgium are Mary Chocolatier, Neuhaus Chocolatier, Planete Chocolate, Le Petit Julien, and Leonidas. Those were the top 5 chocolate’s in Brussels, Belgium. They are 2000 different types of chocolate in Belgium. Next, the art is beau (beautiful in French). In the Constatin Muenier Museum, there are over 20,000 pieces of art. Lastly, Belgium, has three official languages; Dutch, German, and French. I thought that was interesting.
I expected to leave my trip with two skills. One skill was to pick up basic German, Dutch, and French. Secondly, I expected to leave Brussels with being able to eat an amazing amount of chocolate. Goed lang! (Good by!)
